CV / Contact
Jasper Lee is an artist from central Alabama who makes videos, installations, music & sound art.
Themes running through his work include media & alchemy, experimental ethnography and
contemporary approaches to ritual. His work with the moving image has included composing
scores for feature films, directing music videos and creating art films which have screened at
festivals internationally. His work with sound has included radio art broadcasts, sound installations,
foley, field recording and music production. His work has been exhibited at art centers including
The Mint Museum, The Wiregrass Museum of Art, Vinegar Contemporary, The Ackland Museum,
Nova Cinema Brussels and the Abroms-Engel Institute for the Visual Arts. He is a performer and
organizer of experimental music in Birmingham, where he leads the label Sweet Wreath.
